Culpeper thrives on volunteers

A great opportunity to make a positive contribution to your local physical and social environment

A registered charity run by a management committee, Culpeper employs part time workers who develop projects with community groups, support volunteers, work with local children and schools, and coordinate communal fundraising, social and gardening activities.

However, Culpeper exists and thrives because of the work done by volunteers. Most of these are plotholders, but everyone is welcome at Culpeper: people of all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities and abilities have something to give and something to gain.

Plotholders and volunteers become valued members of a friendly, vibrant community and have the opportunity to practice horticultural and/or other skills. There are also opportunities to get involved in other aspects of the garden from administration to working along side the workers in running projects. It’s a great opportunity to make a positive contribution to your local physical and social environment.
