Garden Plots

Tend a little piece of the garden

In addition to our communal areas, Culpeper has 49 plots tended by individuals and community groups. They provide a precious opportunity to garden for local people who don’t have an outdoor space of their own. They bring diversity and uniqueness to the garden, according to the wide-ranging preferences of our plot holders.

To become a plot holder, you must to live within our catchment area and have no garden of your own. You must sign up as a garden member, and pay your subscription from the date you put your name on the waiting list. You commit yourself to look after your plot, cultivating it organically and not letting it become neglected. You also need to commit to take an active part in helping to maintain the communal parts of the garden and to get involved in events.

The subscription for plot holders is £30 a year (£20 for membership, plus an additional £10 for the plot subscription).

Plot holders who don’t look after their plots are given a written warning, and if there is no improvement their plot can be taken away and given to the next person on the waiting list.

If you want to become a member and/or rent a plot we recommend a visit, or you can contact the garden workers on 0207 833 3951 or email gardenworker@culpeper.org.uk

All plot holders must agree to our Guidelines as contained in the Plot Holder Handbook.
